Zelenskyy hopes to resume Ukraine’s grain export, acknowledging difficulties

On Thursday, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned of “a really difficult road” for Ukraine amid incremental advances by Russia in the east of the country.

A high-level meeting begun among Ukraine, Turkey, Russia and the United Nations, to renew efforts to restart Ukrainian grain exports.

A statement from Zelenskyy’s office stated that the parties will discuss sea corridors for the export of grain, along with security issues, as Ukrainian ports on the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea remained blocked by Russian war ships.

On Wednesday, UK’s Ministry of Defense noted rise of anti-Russia sentiment in occupied parts of the country, following reports of targeting of Russian and pro-Russian officials (called collaborators by Ukraine), as on Monday a Moscow-backed mayor in Velykyi Burluk in the Kharkiv region was killed in a car bombing.
